Water Heaters

Water Heaters are a major power consumer. Replace an inefficient water heater with an energy-efficient model such as the Marathon ® with a high energy factor of .94*. These units may be purchased at H & M.

* The energy factor is based on three aspects: 1) the recovery efficiency, or how efficiently the heat from the energy source is transferred to the water; 2) stand-by losses, or the percentage of hear lost per hour from the stored water compared to the content of the water; and 3) cycling losses.
